Combined medicals
You can have a combined medical carried out if you are, in example, a Seafarer with ENG1, who also needs a OEUK medical certificate (Offshore Energies UK, formerly Oil and Gas UK) .
A OEUK medical certificate isn’t equivalent to an ENG1, as they are two separate medicals which serve two different purposes:
• OEUK is an employer’s medical. Its medical standards have been produced to meet the needs and requirements of the employer.
• ENG1 is statutory - it’s required by law for all seafarers working on board a UK flagged vessel.
If for any other reason you need more than one type of medical, you have an option to make a single appointment for the medical assessments that you require.

Standalone medicals
If you need a specific examination which was not part of your original medical assessment, or an assessment you have had elsewhere, you can choose to have a Standalone Medical. The following examinations can be provided: Spirometry, Audiometry, Tympanometry, Chester Step test.
